Chocolate Sunbutter Protein Balls

Simply one of the best treats ever! They taste like chocolate truffles. These are so healthy, they are even allowed on my cleanses and people always have a hard time believing they’re not cheating! Getting and staying healthy is not about deprivation! These are full of super-foods, including raw cacao, coconut oil and hemp protein! You will LOVE them.

Chocolate Sunbutter Protein Balls

Yields

makes 8-10 balls

Ingredients

6 tbsp sunbutter

4 tbsp cacao (or unsweetened cacoa)

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp ground flax seed, chia seeds, or almond meal

1 scoop or 3 tbsp protein powder (I prefer hemp protein)

1 tbsp raw honey

1 pinch of salt

Water (as needed)

Shredded coconut

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir and slowly add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you get the desired consistency of your protein ball.

Mold the dough into little balls and roll each ball in a bowl of shredded coconut ( or more cacao powder if you prefer) Place them on a cookie sheet or plate. You can eat them right away or freeze them for 10-15 mins.
